Beautiful Beach Ball

Bonjour,
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while but I was on vacation at the beach. I was inspired to make a cake so I made a beach ball cake that looked and tasted great!  I baked 1 box of cake in a square pan and I put the other half of the batter in a circle pan. I carved the sides of the cake with a butter knife and I stacked the circle on the square to make it look like a dome.  With the pieces I cut off of the cake I made sand dunes. I covered the crumbled cake with white sugar and put them into small piles on the side. Then, I colored the frosting. I used 2 tubs of Betty Crocker cream cheese frosting and I divided one of the tubs into three bowls. I colored them red, blue and yellow. I started with red then yellow and lastly blue. To frost I lightly used a butter knife and frosted the colors onto three sections of the cake. I frosted the last three sections of the cake and the middle just white. I had a wonderful vacation and I made wonderful cake.  See you next time.

                              Au revoir,

                                         Ellie
